Shout out to Rob!

Rob's 2nd class of the semester is almost over....THANK GOODNESS. His classes are 6 weeks long with a 1 week break in between, and we are all in much need of a week break! His latest class, Organization Behavoir, has been LONG and HARD. The past 6 weeks have consisted of him getting home late from a long day at work, having 30-45 minutes to eat dinner and play with Ava, then spending the rest of the night doing homework till 11. Then he gets up and does it all over again the next day! Rob has been such a trooper though. He tries to come home at lunch and spend some time with Ava if she is awake from her nap. The other day I walked in her room at lunch, and Ava and Rob were at her little table playing with play-doh for a few minutes. Here's Rob in his dress shirt/pants and a tie sitting on a toddler chair, playing with play-doh. What a good dad! Anyways we are so proud of him and his hard work!

This post should have gone second, but oh well. Here is Ava checking out the pumpkin once we lit it!

Carving Pumpkins

We decided to carve a pumpkin for family home evening. It started out with plenty of excitement, but as soon as Ava saw Mr. Pumpkins innards she got quite upset! Once Rob got the pumpkin dissected and cleaned up, she liked it again!

Grandma and Grandpa Moyes!

Grandma and Grandpa Moyes came to visit us this last weekend and we had such a FUN time! Of course I didn't take any pictures of it...these are the only few! On Saturday we went up to Lake Tahoe and had a freezing cold, yet fun, picnic. We couldn't get Ava away from the water! Later that day Mommy and Grandma had some fun alone time (which we went shopping!!!!) and then daddy and Grandpa went to priesthood session that night. Ava realized Grandma always carried a purse, so she had to have one too. When they were leaving to go home, Ava got her purse, and tried to sneak away with them. Another adorable story...we went on a walk around the neighborhood and Ava was fine to sit in her stroller as long as she could hold Grandpa's hand along the way!
Anways we had SO much fun with Grandma and Grandpa Moyes. Thanks for making the trip to come see us and spoil us! We love and miss you!
