Carving Pumpkins

We decided to carve a pumpkin for family home evening. It started out with plenty of excitement, but as soon as Ava saw Mr. Pumpkins innards she got quite upset! Once Rob got the pumpkin dissected and cleaned up, she liked it again!

  1. Too cute. Ava, we love your concern for Mr. Pumpkin. :)

  2. That has GOT to be a Moyes trait-to be grossed out/frightened by mushy-gooey innards. My kids have taken years to get up the guts (no pun intended) to touch the insides of a pumpkin. I usually end up doing all of the cleaning out and carving because they are just too grossed out!

  4. SERIUOSLY! Dustin HATES HATES HATES carving pumpkins! He hates cleaning them out and touching them. My girls don't have that problem so much. Joselyn came home proud to tell me that she was one of the few that actually stuck her whole hand in the pumpkin and took out the seeds in her kindergarten class. I usually end up carving everything at home though. That was SOOO cute though of Ava being so upset. Was she upset that you guys cut the pumpkin or do you think she was really grosed out?
