Ava is Potty trained!!!! And I hate to brag, but it was actually pretty easy! But I do have to give someone else alot of credit! Ava's friend Kadri was potty trained a few weeks ago so everytime they get together Ava has seen Kadri use the potty. Lacey came up with a great idea for rewarding them (two sticker for poo, one for pee and when the row is filled up...a trip to the dollar store to pick out anything the potty champion wants!) So basically I watched Lacey try different methods, find one that works and copy her! (Thanks Lacey!) Ava is still wearing a diaper for naps and bedtime, but the last few naptimes she has had a dry diaper when she wakes up. She is so proud of herself evertime she goes...and so are we! It's so nice not to have to by two sets of diapers once a week.

Yeah!!!!! Good job Ava! And mom too. :-) I hate potty training. You are way better at it than I ever was!
ReplyDeleteI am very jealous Andrea. I have had the potty out since Lilly was like a year and she has absolutely NO interest in sitting on it. When I ask her if she wants to go sit on the potty she screams NO! Oh well. I am STILL buying two sets of diapers......some are pullups.....my poor little 6 year old.
ReplyDeleteYEAH AVA!!!! We are so excited for you (and Mom and Dad)! What a wonderful accomplishment. It is so fun for Kadri to have a "potty buddy" at church. I understand the two of them work the nursery ladies! :-) (Is it against church policy to tip someone? I feel like I need to with all the trips to the potty those ladies do.)
ReplyDeleteYeah Ava!! Even though it was only $10..isn't it nice to not have to buy 2 sets of diapers!! Although I am jealous that your TWO year old is potty trained! YEAH!
ReplyDeleteGood job Ava! Now you get to visit every public bathroom when you are out and about, but it is worth it not to have to buy all those diapers.
