Jump jump jumping!

We told the girls that our new yard was "big enough for a trampoline." Ava heard "we're getting a trampoline as soon as we move!" She was expecting a trampoline to be ready for her the day we moved in! So we broke down and bought one. It comes with a safety net which we haven't had time to put up yet...but don't worry. We will! Both the girls LOVE jumping. Well Brooklyn just bounces around as her sister jumps. It also helps burn off some of the girl's never ending energy!
Check out Brooklyn's hair.
Mid bounce....

Pretty as a princess

Brooklyn is just like her sister...she won't let me put clips, bows, or ponytails in her hair. If I even try they are ripped out in seconds. She won't wear hats as well. But she loves this tiara. She will wear it as long as she can before her sister takes it from her. I don't get it. A true princess I guess!

This is a true princess having a royal tatrum!

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Brooklyn

This post is WAY over due...a month in fact. But I have been so busy, I haven't had time to post it. Brooklyn turned 1 on May 24....where in the heck did time go. Brooklyn has been so fun to have in our family. Not only does she look like her daddy, she's got his personality. She loves to tease and explore. Her most favorite place in this world is Mommy's arms. We love you Brooklyn!
We had a party at Grandma and Grandpa Moyes's house. Growing up my mom always made fun "themed" cakes for our birthdays. I can't ever think of a birthday with just a regular cake. (Of course my brother Dustin's birthdays were always an exception :)) So I've tried to keep that tradition going. This year, my very creative and talented mom made Brooklyn's flower cake, and Rob's graduation cake. Thanks Grandma for the fun and delicious cakes!

More Idaho Pictures

These are from our trip a few weeks ago that I forgot to post, but they are too cute to forget!
We got to roast marshmallows are Grandma and Grandpa Moyes. Both girls loved it. Actually Ava just loved burning the marshmallows and throwing them in the fire pit! Brooklyn enjoyed the chocolate!
When we were visiting my sister in Washington, my mom had a slumber party with Ava and Ashlynn at the hotel. Both girls had LOTS of fun. When they were supposed to be sleeping they would look over to make sure Grandma was "asleep" and jump out of bed and take a drink from their water cups that they kept the in the refrigerator. I guess this happened many many times late into the night! Then they woke up bright and early at 5:30 to go swimming!!! Thanks Grandma for taking them. Ava still sees hotels and talks about her sleepover with Grandma!

Back again....

So we are finally somewhat situated in our new house, and I thought I would put up some pictures of a month ago when we went to Idaho and Washington! My sister started a dance studio and we drove up to Washington to suprise her and see her first dance recital. It was SO much fun, and it was so fun to see her suprised face! We also had lots and lots of fun visiting grandma's and grandpas! these pictures are all out of order!
Ava and Ashlynn were such divas! There was a "stage" at the park and they had a ball dancing and singing for us!

Ava had fun fishing with Grandma Parkinson

Amanda's dance group (with my little monkey in front. Amanda was SO KIND to let Ava participate in the dress rehearsal and pictures!)Even Ryan was such a good help he got a flower!!!
Those girls LOVE their dance teacher!
Ashlynn (my niece) did the cutest solo

WAY TO GO ROB!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to introduce the newest Arizone State University W. P. Carey School of Business MBA graduate....Rob Parkinson!!!! Wahoo! We are DONE DONE DONE! (Keep in mind he did not graduate from University of Phoenix...it drives me nuts when people say that. It's ASU! He had the same professors as the people on campus, same assignments, everything...just online.) I am so so proud of Rob and all his hard work. He managed school, a busy church calling, work, and a crazy family! He made so many sacrifices to get through school, and never complained. We love you so much Rob and we are so glad you are done FOREVER!!! Let's celebrate! LIFE-IS-GOOD!

Good luck..but not Good-bye

Tomorrow morning we have to say good-bye to our best friends. We knew this time was coming, but I have tried not to think about it...and now it's here. Lacey and I started walking together when the girls were just little babies (and would stay in the stroller!) We would walk and talk for hours. From that our two families have developed a great, life long friendship. I don't think a day has gone by where we haven't talked or gotten together. Most of our greatest memories of Reno involve the Klingler's. Lacey is one the best, truest friends I have ever had. She is my "sister from another mister!" (Lacey taught me that!) We have laughed together, cried together, and shared life's highest and lowest moments. Words can not even express how much we will miss the Klingler's. Good luck guys, we love you!
