Weekend

Saturday morning was absolutely beautiful, so we decided to go on a walk and feed the ducks after breakfast. Brooklyn was so tired, and I thought she was going to fall asleep in the swing!
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE having Rob home. Although we still don't have a job (but a few interviews!!!) it's so nice to have him around!

Feeding the hungry ducks....princess style of course!

That night Rob took Ava on a daddy daughter date. He bought her some carnations and she was SO SO excited! Then they went to Scheels and rode the ferris wheel and had free fudge samples (Ava even got two!) Brooklyn and I had a NICE quiet evening to spend together outside on the blanket!

Good read

I haven't recommended a book for a long time (because I have zilch time to read!), but this is such a good one! It's real stories from mom's with young ones. It will make you laugh and cry (I was reading it at the gym and crying over a touching story!!! haha I probably looked VERY pathetic!) It makes you feel like a half normal stressed out mom! Thanks Lacey for letting me borrow it!

Just hanging out....

Nothing much to blog about. I thought I would blog to show my mom we are still alive! Ava has done everything in her power to make sure she fulfills the name of "terrible two's" before she turns TERRIFIC three...(isn't that how it goes? Please tell me it is cause I don't think I can handle much more!) Brooklyn is FINALLY getting some teeth! She refuses to eat anything given to her on a spoon. The only way she will eat is if you dump all the food on the tray so she can feed herself. I forget how much I dislike this stage and how MESSY it is!
These girls love books! They had a great time this morning reading books together. (all right Brooklyn is really more interested in ripping them apart, but it's a start!)
Here is Brooklyn showing off her latest doo. What a stinkin cute kid.....

good bye lunchbox

Dear Lunchbox:
I have such mixed feelings for you. I have hated you so for the past 6 months because as I packed you each day, I knew that Rob would be gone for most of the day and be getting home early the next morning. I knew it met long lonely days for me and the girls. However, as I now put you back to your permanent spot in the garage I am sad. Your absence from the kitchen counter means that we are unemployed, yet again.

Ava update

My lovely little Ava is finally and forever binky free! Along with a call from the Easter Bunny, the Binky Fairy stopped by one night and left her a note of Congratulations! She doesn't even ask for it any more, and will tell people "I'm a big girl now. No more binky tonight!" Yea Av's! We are so proud of you!
Ava is in her diva/princess stage. She either wears her church dresses or Grandma's dressups EVERY day! She either wears her princess shoes or my shoes around the house, and always has to have on lip gloss. (Whose kid is this??? :))She is the BEST big sister to Brooklyn, and the two of them adore each other!

Brooklyn update

My little ray of sunshine! Brooklyn is such a happy social baby! She had her 9 month check up a few weeks ago. I filed away the paper with her stats, but in short she is our tall, chubby baby with a big head! Her hair is starting to come in nice and thick and stick straight. She refuses to crawl or move for that matter. She can roll to where she wants to be, but that's about it! And still no teeth!
excuse me...I'm bathing...

Folsom Zoo

Our friends told us about a fun little zoo in Folsom, Ca, so we decided to check it out. It was a great little animal sanctuary, just the perfect size. They also had a train that you could ride around the zoo...which the girls loved.
Ava was SO excited on the train!Daddy's girls

Our Diva/princess. She only wears dresses now and ALWAYS wears her princess shoes!

This is how we would know if Brooklyn saw the animals or not...once she spotted them she would start grunting and wiggling. It was so so cute!

Sacramento temple

This temple is on the most beautiful grounds. It's up on a hill and everything was green green green and blooming. It was the most peaceful place!
A wild animal in the plants...we captured in and decided to take it home. It doesn't want to be tamed though.....Rob's great photography skills...

It had a gorgeous water fountain up front.

your girls

Bye Bye Binky

So we've decided it's time for Ava to say goodbye to her second half...the beloved binky. She is almost 3 years old and I'm SO tired her always saying "I want my binky!!!!" So for her reward system, she gets a little prize everytime she goes to bed without one. And today the Easter "bummy" actually called our house (thanks Grandma Moyes for getting us in touch with him! :)) and told Ava it was time to give the binky up! Ava was incredibly excited about that! So today it only took 45 minutes of blood curling screaming and I had to lay with her until she fell asleep. Not bad...and I hear it only gets better....right? right? :) Wish us luck!
