What really matters....

The last few months have so frustrating with the whole job situation/economy. I'm tired of paying for other stupid Americans mistakes. (You know who you are....living in debt? Huge house you can't afford? Shame on you!) Anyways thanks to an extremely patient and loving husband he helps me remember what really matters at the end of the day...and it's this....a whole lotta this.....
and nothing but this....
I'm incredibly lucky to have such an amazing husband and two beautiful healthy girls!

Spending time as a family

In an incredibly RARE moment we actually had a little time to spend as a family today. Rob actually has a load of school work to start on...but he was needing a break as was I! Anyways they had the grand opening of Scheels so we decided to check it out. There were fresh/salt water fish tanks, a ferris wheel, a kids play area, and a huge animal display to look at. We had fun just walking around letting Ava lead the way!
This was at the sea water tank and Ava "saw" Nemo, Dori, Marlin, and Gil. My chunka chunk who is KILLING my back when I carry her now! (Doesn't she look JUST LIKE Rob! so so cute!)
Ava coming down the slide.
Ava wanted Rob and I to come play with her. I came up with her for a little bit...and it was a TIGHT squeeze. Then she wanted Daddy to come up. Rob is such a great sport. He climbed up this incredibly small structure and then went clunking down the slide. It was so funny cause all these little kids were coming down the slide and then you here this "boom boom boom" and out comes Rob (head first)! It was hilarious!

Brooklynator

It was Brooklyn's 4 month appoitment today! I can't believe she is already 4 months. Anyways here are her stats:
Weight: 14 lbs 13 oz (75%)
Height: 25 1/2 in (90%)
Head: 41 1/2 cm (75%)
In other fun news, my awesome cool sister found a bumbo seat for me for $7.00! (Brand new they are $40!) She sent it along with some other fun stuff, which we recieved today. (She sent a makeup kit....yes a makeup kit for Ava. Ava, Brooklyn and I are COVERED in glitter, lipstick, and eyeshadow!) Here is an outfit she is letting me borrow since Ryder is WAY to big for it! Isn't she so stinkin' cute! Thanks for the package Bishops!! Taking a nap
This is how Ava fell asleep the other night!

Happy Anniversary!

This is a day late, but better late than never! I just wanted to wish my sweet husband a happy 5th Anniversary! Thanks to the Donnelly family for watching our babies, we were able to go to dinner without the girls! Then we walked around Lowe's while Rob dreamed about getting power tools. I am SUCH a good wife! (J/k I can't tell you how many times Rob has walked the mall with me without complaining!)
Anyways I love you so much Rob. You are the best husband and father!

Random pictures

So as most can tell I'm bored at night so that means more blogging! :)
Mom don't look as this picture! Robs already training Brooklyn! Enjoying the fruits of his labor!
Ava LOVES to eat the carrots right out of the garden (washed of course!) Ava is OBSESSED with Cinderella. She will wear her "slippers" (as she calls them) and throws one off of her foot. Then she says "Oh no my slipper!" We have to try the slipper on everyone's foot....but magically it always only fits Ava's (aka Cinderella) foot. She plays this game about 4,698 times a day! Then I have to turn on the light in our entrance so we can have the "ball" and dance. This is her on the phone with Grandma Moyes telling her about Cinderella!

Emerald Bay

We hiked Emerald Bay the other day with our friends the Klinglers. It's about a mile hike down into this beautiful cove. Then we ate lunch and let the girls play in the water. (We forgot swimsuits hence the nakedness!) Then we hiked to the waterfall and then hiked the mile out. We had SO many people commenting on how "crazy" we were to hike out with 2 toddlers and 2 babies. It actually wasn't too bad. (Of course I wasn't carrying the 30 lb toddler!)
Ava lovin the water!
Lacey and I carrying our sleeping babies!
Ava and Kadri had so much fun playing in the water!

Grumpy Mommy

I will post some pictures of what we have been up too tomorrow...but for now just a funny story!

We were at Target tonight and getting ready to leave. Ava was being stubborn (she gets it from her dad) and decided she would rather play in the necklaces. So after Rob and I walked away she started her ear piercing scream (a new favorite of hers). After a few seconds of letting everyone in the store enjoy her screaming song I started walking towards her. Then she started screaming..."Mommy you're grumpy. Mommy you're grumpy!"
Funny kid!

Balloons

This weekend we got to enjoy the Annual Balloon race, not just one day but two! (That's the perks of unemployment!) On Friday we got out of the house too late to see them all launch so we went to a park where they were all landing. Ava thought it was the neatest thing to see them land. Then on Saturday we woke up bright and early (actually waking up the girls at 6:30!) To see the balloons take off! They let you go right down on the field and watch the people set the balloons up and take off!
Kadrian and Ava and their daddy's.
Watching a balloon get inflated!

Ava's favorite balloons were two bees, Joey and Lilly. She is still talking about them!
Ava got to watch Lilly land in front of her!
Watching with dad
I love this shot!

Hiking

We went "hiking" on a trail that follows the Truckee River. It's funny because with two kids, it took forever getting everything ready to go and we ended up not going very far at all (stopping to go potty, exploring, getting snacks, putting binky's in...etc...) but we had a great time!
Such a Daddy's girl!

Bleeding green

If Rob had his way, he would make a million dollars being a farmer. Until then, Rob has been practicing his farmer ways in our tiny backyard garden! He has been so faithful watering and weeding it. And he always takes the girls out to "help" him. So here they are checking out our first ear of corn. (So far we've gotten some peas, beans, onions and carrots out of it!)

Getting the corn ready to eat

Once Ava got done shucking the corn she started beating it against the cement...I thought Rob was going to have a heart attack! I thought it was kinda funny, but he didn't!
