Fun pictures

Here are some fun pictures of Brooklyn. She is such a sweet baby! I still need to play around with editing them..but it's late and Rob needs the computer! (So what do you think about the bows? I have had fun experimenting with making bows lately and these are my latest...I'll post more later. )

And this pictures sums up our day! Brooklyn has had some ROUGH nights (translation.... waking up every 2 hours...) so we just stayed at home today while Rob went to the library to work on his school final. This is Ava's fingerpainting masterpiece...some might wonder where she got the paint??? Mommy's makeup bag (I didn't find this out till later!) This particular masterpiece has tinted lotion and mascara! What an artist!

One of those days...

Today has been such a long day...when it rains it pours. Our Honda is sitting in pieces in the garage (don't worry it's fixable with a few tools and TIME...we hope), we have a huge hole in our washer door (we just found out from the Sears man that we bought one of the worst washer and dryers ever made...and now we have no idea how to fix it!) and both girls have gotten up between 4-6 times during the night for the last three nights. Oh and did I mention we still don't have a job? Let's see....I think that's about it! But how can life be bad when you get to look at these precious faces all day?
This is how Brooke watched me get ready this morning. Doesn't she look so grown up???
She is such a happy baby
Daddy's girls....He is one lucky man!
I went to get Ava some water before bed and this is what I saw when I came back. Ava had kindly given Brookly one of her Binkys and was reading her a story! Ava is such a great big sister!

a little update

Here are a few pictures of the last few weeks. We have had fun going to hot August nights, swimming at the Klinglers pool and Lake Tahoe, playing at the park, and the fair. (The best part is it's all been FREE!) So far we haven't had any luck job hunting....but all we need is one yes! We have both been rather stressed, but we are trying to have fun at the same time!
Here is Ava checking out the monster truck at Hot August nights.

Jackson and Ava enjoying their drinks on the beach Tonight the admission to the Nevada State fair was free, so we decided to take part! We got GREAT parking (that's what happens when you are unemployed and can get to the gates right at 5:00!) They had a huge area with activities just for kids. At one booth, they mixed cement into a little tray (to make a paver) and then the kids could "decorate" them with pretty rocks. Ava loved this part...and when Rob tried to help her she told him "no!"
They had a great reptile exhibit with frogs, snakes, lizards, turtles, and an alligator! Here is Ava checking out an enormous toad.
Not too sure about the albino snake....
Brooklyn enjoyed the fair as well...snuggled up to mommy, sleeping the whole time!
Then of course there were the pigs, cows, "cockaroos" (chickens), a dog show, and "bummy's" (bunnies)! Both girls were so good, and we had a great time as a family!

Are two year olds to be enjoyed or endured?

Camera

I've had a few people ask what kind of camera I have...It's a Canon XTi Rebel. And I have the best lens ever.... a 50 mm f1/4. Thanks to my sweet hubby for letting me get such a great camera!

A Gigantic Post

We went to Idaho last week to bless Brooklyn in Murtaugh. We spent an entire week in Idaho so I have tons of pictures. And since Rob studies all night and I'm bored and have plenty of time once the girls go down, I put up a ton of pictures for your viewing pleasure! We had so much fun seeing all our cousins and Aunts and Uncles. Thanks everyone for coming down to the blessing. It was so fun to have so many family members there! Thanks Grandma Moyes for making such a yummy meal afterwards for us all to enjoy!
Finger painting outsideDrawing inside (Ava was "painting" her nails, Ashlynn was not impressed)

The Twin Falls temple...we got to go to the open house. I was so pretty inside. Ava keeps telling me "Mommy I see temple. I got inside!"
Grandma Moyes was so sweet to think of Ava and our LONG drive across the desert, so she got Ava some fun books to read. Thanks Grandma Moyes for being so thoughtful! Ava loves the books!

Paul built a BBQ area out in the trees...we liked it so much we had a weenie roast two nights in a row! This is my brother...sorry ladies he's taken
This is Ava spitting water at Ashlynn
This is Ava saying sorry for spitting the water!

The poor frog

Paul found a frog and put it in the pool for the kids to play with. The poor thing...he was picked up, tossed, picked up, tossed so many times! After the girls lost interest, Tanner went and took the frog to a safe place so he could hopefully recover!
I love Ashlynns face in this picture! These girls had no fear holding the frog

Tanner, Ava, and Avery watching the frog
We all went swimming at Dierkes Lake. The place hasn't changed much since I was little! Anyways the kids all had a blast playing in the warm water!

Ashy sporting the latest trend...no doubt Amanda started it first!

Rob was the official 4-wheeler driver...this is him, Ashy, and Ava driving around the housePlaying in the tub...if you are thinking Ava's eyes look weird that's because they are. She got stung TWICE by a wasp right in the middle of her eyes and forehead. So her face got all swollen and funny looking!
The girls had a Jammy party complete with bananas for refreshments. Anyways we told them to pose, and this is the pose Ava gave us...a little akward but cute!
This picture cracks me up. Ava refused to hold hands with Ashy, but then played the part of the kid left out of the fun. You have to blow this picture up to check out Ashlynn and Avery's faces.

Family time

This is one of my most favorite things about getting together with family is just sitting around and chatting while the kids play and dad's watch sports!Little stinker...she's already protesting my kisses!
The Moyes Grandkids (sadly we are missing Maddy, Josey and Lilly!) And as always, everyone gave us there full cooperation......!

Best friends

Not the most flattering picture of me...but my mom and sisters look beautiful! I am so lucky to have these guys as my Best Friends as well as mom/sisters. I remember when we were in Young Womens together and Liz bore her testimony. She said how grateful she was for her sisters and that friends come and go, but your family will always be there for you...and it's so true! (I remember feeling so special because Amanda and I were still the annoying younger sisters and Liz told everyone that she liked us in a roundabout way!) :) Anyways, here are the best two sisters anyone can ask for!!!!!
Which one am I????

Blessing Day

We decided to bless Brooklyn in Murtaugh ward (same ward I was blessed in!) All my siblings were there except my bro and sis-in-law Dustin and Jess and Uncle Ryan and Aunt Lesli (we missed you!)! Thanks to my wonderfuly talented mom who made the most gorgeous blessing dress and my grandma who made a beautiful blanket!
I love this picture of Rob...too bad Ava isn't looking at the camera and has her darn binkie in!
Such a sweet girl!
Not the best picture...I'll take more later...but I just had to show the AMAZING dress my mom made and the beautiful blanket my grandma made! Don't you just love the pink ribbon on it!
Great Grandpa and Grandma Baum! Grandma and Grandpa are always at our special events to support us! Thanks for coming!
