A little about my hubby....
My sister in law Wendy tagged me for this fun post...I don't have a picture to include with it. We don't have very many pictures together and I refuse to take a 37 week pregnant picture. I would fill up the whole frame and you wouldn't be able to see rob...not a pretty picture! So here we go....
What is his name: Reid Robinson Parkinson
How long have you been together? We’ve been married 4 years 7 months
How long did you date? Not too long (think BYU couple) We dated, got engaged and married in 5 months!
Who eats more? Definitely Rob. But I can sometimes match him when we eat candy! (probably not something to be proud of!)
Who said I love you first? He did. Funny story...
Who is taller? Rob is and I LOVE it! I can wear the tallest shoes and I still am shorter
Who is smarter? Rob is better at math and science and I’m better at english and reading
Who does the laundry? Me. Isn’t that a mom chore???
Who does the dishes? Me again…Rob helps clear off the table. In his defense though…after dinner is when he plays with Ava before he holes up in our room to go study for the rest of the night. Once this school stuff is out of the way….I’ll make sure we take turns with dish duty!
Who sleeps on the right? Me. It’s funny cause if we ever sleep in a bed at our parents or hotel we always automatically choose the same side we sleep on at home.
Who pays the bills? He does the online bills and I write out the ones that we snail mail.
Who mows the lawn? Right now a lawn service does it (part of the rent!) Growing up, the girls mowed the lawn around my house. But I was informed by Rob that mowing the lawn is a guys job, so when eventually get our own house he will be mowing the lawn!
Who cooks dinner? Me. And I dislike cooking so so so much. Our meals don’t get to creative around here!
Who is more stubborn? Anyone who knows us very well knows that we are both VERY stubborn. And I like how Amanda put it…we combined and made Ava. Enough said.
Who kissed who first? Rob kissed me first. It was at his apartment over a bowl of Nemo ice cream. (vanilla ice cream with chocolate Nemo’s. Seriously, Ava would have loved this ice cream!)
Who asked out who first? Rob asked me out. We met at the library during finals. Rob was ready to go home and asked me if I wanted a ride home on his…MOTORCYCLE! I actually had a study group in 15 minutes at the library but I wanted him to ask for my phone number so I agreed. It was pouring rain outside and on his way to his motorcycle he finally asked for my phone number. He dropped me off at my apartment where I changed out of my wet clothes and had Amanda drive me back up to the library for my study group. Rob asked me out about a week later. We went to a jazz game (play-offs. I can’t remember who played) had dinner, and then went for a ride around Provo on his motorcycle.
Who proposed? He did. We were getting married in about 2 months and I still had no ring. (it was all picked out just not ready.) Temple reservations and everything, just no “official” proposal. Every time we would get together I kept expecting him to ask me but he didn’t. One night he needed me to drive him to the airport so he could fly to New York for a week. We conveniently had a few extra minutes before he had to be there so we stopped by Ensign Peak. He had rose petals all over with candles and roses all over a bench. He asked me, I said yes, we packed up and I drove him to the airport to say good bye for a week!
Who has more siblings? There are 7 kids in his, 6 in mine
Who wears the pants? We co-operate.
Now I tag Liz and Jess!

Last night we had a 4.2 earthquake hit...and there has been 25 recorded earthquakes just this morning. I don't think I'm ever going to get a good night's sleep again!

More Earthquakes!
So the other night at around midnight a 4.7 earthquake hit! (It was first a 4.9 but then they downgraded it...I still think it was stronger than that!) I was asleep and Rob was getting ready for bed. When it hit I jumped out of bed and we both ran down the hallway to get Ava. She actually slept through it, but woke up as Rob and I were running into her room to check on her! A few things fell to the floor and some of our friends had glass break and pictures fall as well. We had a few more 3.0 shakers that night, and one Saturday morning. Then today at church we had two 3.0's hit AGAIN! The second time I was up in Young Womens which is upstairs above the nursery room. All I could imagine was crashing down to the first floor and landing on my baby! Anyways, it seems now that earthquakes have come a part of our daily lives. Hopefully they stop soon or the "big one" hits so we can just get this over with. Everytime a quake hits, it freaks me out and it takes forever to calm down after it. And now when I hear a car rumble by or motorcycle start I think "here comes another one." Maybe it will throw me into labor although I don't want an earthquake to hit while Im delivering the baby! Wish us luck!
(On a good note, our 72 hour kit is complete and we are ready for anything that comes our way! "Natural disaters" really make you realize what things are important in life and its made me want to read my scriptures more and be a better wife/mom....among other things!)

Shaking things up!
There have been lots of little earthquakes around here for the last few months. I've only felt a few, but today was an exception! They reported having 30 earthquakes (obviously most of them very very small) but three of them really shook things up....a 4.2, 4.1, and 3.0! For the two biggest ones, Ava and I were outside at the park. They were LOUD and shook the playground equipment (as well as rattling my nerves!) Both times I grabbed Ava, not sure if I should run for the car or just hang out! The smaller one happened during dinner, and it sounded like someone dropped something heavy in the bedroom!
The good thing about all these earthquakes is that I've FINALLY gotten a 72 hour kit together. I know we are always told to be prepared but I guess I always have had the thought that we would just go to mom and dad's if something went wrong. Once these earthquakes started happening, I realized I would never be able to forgive myself if something happened and I wasn't able to have survival items for my family (especially if we have been warned time and time again to get them!) It's taken some time getting everything together, and Ava and I have gotten to know the camping section at Walmart quite well, but it's almost done!

One cute kid
Our neighbor showed up at our door today with a bunch of clothes her granddaughter had grown out of! We've only seen her a few times getting mail and going for walks, so it was incredibly kind of her to think of us! One of the things she brought was some princess jammies. As soon as she left, Ava had to try them on with her pretty shoes!
Tonight Ava was snuggling with Rob when he got home from work. I asked her if she was mommy's baby or daddy's baby, and she said "dada." So I asked who would be my baby? She said "ummmmmm....Book."

The Terrible twos.....
If anyone knows what happened to my sweet little girl...who was recently replaced by a cute little MONSTER....please return her!!!
We've hit the terrible twos. Tatrums, the words "NO" and "MINE", tatrums, screaming, yelling, independence, tatrums, hitting, throwing things, etc (I'm sure you could all add words!) are a daily part of our life. Maybe it's cause I'm 36 weeks pregnant and have a massive cold that I've reacted poorly to all of this but I'm exhausted! If I'm not giving Ava 110% of my attention all day long, she lets me know that I'm not doing it right. I'm a little worried how this is going to work out with a newborn!
Despite all this, at the end of a long trying day...I still love my little monster!

Our baby is 2!
Saturday was Ava's birthday! I can't believe how fast two years has gone. I love this little girl more than anything. She brings so much joy and life into our home. We love you Ava!
She got a bike for her birthday, and so far she is wanting to ride it every waking moment! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Moyes and Parkinson for her gifts. She loves them and says thanks! Also, thanks to all her friends for the fun presents!
To celebrate, we had a party at our house with all her little friends. Ava loved having everyone there to party.
(All the pictures of out of order!)The ladybug cake! It took me a few trial and error cakes to get it right, so we've been eating cake all week! In the end, I was proud of how it turned out.

5 classes down...7 more to go!
Rob finished his class today!!!! So now we get to enjoy a week break from school before the next class (which it's final is during the week Brooklyn is due!) Ava and I are so proud of Rob and his incredibly hard work with school, work, church calling and two emotional girls at home! To celebrate him finishing his final we went to park this evening. It was a beautiful night, and Ava was so happy to have daddy join us! Ava LOVES swings. This is where she spends most of her time at the park!
Daddy and Ava looking for turtles (we saw two turtles the other day...didn't see one tonight though much to Ava's disappointment!)
Chasing the geese. She ran after them for awhile, and then yelled at all of them because apparently they were not cooperating with her! (I don't know what she intends to do with one if she does catch it!)

Our little gymnast!
A friend and I enrolled our energetic two year olds into a gymnastic class and Ava LOVED it! It was a good workout for mommy as well! I was sweating by the time class was over. As you can tell in these pictures, her favorite thing to do was swinging! Jumping on the trampoline with her teacher...think she is having fun?? :)
The class had a singing/bubbles time but Ava soon got bored and went to go find something else more fun to do.....

Artichokes!
I've posted before how Ava LOVES artichokes. Tonight we had some and Ava ate an artichoke and a half all by herself. She loves them! She even handed me a few leaves and said "momma eat." Thanks Ava for making sure mom gets her vegetables!
All pooped out!
I took Ava to the park this morning for a couple of hours. When we got home she wanted me to hold her, so I I got her all cozy on the couch with her blankies so I could get us some lunch. I came to get her a few minutes later and I found her fast asleep! It was only 11:45, and she usually goes down for a nap around 1:00! Doesn't she look so sweet!

Our cute girl!
Oh how I love this girl!
We watched our friends little girl the other night and Ava wanted to help with EVERYTHING! She loved feeding Laura a bottle. Laura wasn't too interested in it after awhile, but Ava wanted her to drink the entire thing. Ava would follow her around the house trying to put it in her mouth! What a helper....

cousins
Ashy and Ava had a conversation this morning...neither of them were listening to each other, and poor Ashy can't understand what Ava is trying to say...but it's still cute!
Random pictures
I've been reorganizing/getting stuff ready for Brooklyn...even though I still have 7 MORE WEEKS till she comes! Anyways, Ava loves to lay under the play mat (it plays music and lights up). And you'll notice my shoes hanging from the link-a-doos...whatever shoes I am wearing in the morning eventually get attached as a toy!Ava loves loves loves to read. Lately at nap and bed time she's been reading mommy stories instead of me reading them...(and I have dozed off a few times!) This was her this morning reading her books.
