Sad little Ryder!

I hope Amanda doesn't mind that I stole her picture...but I just had to post this picture of Ryder...isn't it SO sweet! Everytime I look at it I start laughing!

Brooklyn Update

8 weeks to go! Today we had another ultrasound done because at the 20 week ultrasound, Brooklyn was measuring in the 14% range...a little on the small side. She is now measuring 18% ...but the Dr. said her development is great she is just going to be a small baby. He said he guesses she will be around 6 1/2 pounds, which sounds GREAT to me! Especially after seeing chunky monkey Ryder and teeny tiny Amanda go through everything they did at 8 pounds! We are all excited to meet Brooklyn.
Another fun story-
Ava was drawing with sidewalk chalk and I asked her to draw a picture of our family. She drew one line and said "Dada", another line "Momma", another line "you" (which means me), and another line "Book." She's going to be such a cute big sister!

Lots of pictures!

I finally added some more pictures and there are lots so make sure you see them all!

Mom's shoes

Ava LOVES wearing my shoes around the house. It's funny to watch her try to walk in them...cause we all know I don't wear the shortest shoes! She's mastered walking in them pretty well though!

My little helper

Ava loves to help me in the kitchen...problem is it usually turns into a huge mess. But she has fun and it keeps her busy. Yesterday Rob was outside ripping out a bunch of ivy so we can plant a garden. After rolling around in the dirt for a while with dad, Ava decided to come help me make pizza and do dishes. The kitchen was a DISATER after she got done "helping" me, but she had lots of fun! "doing" the dishes!
Pizza sauce and cheese all over the floor!

Pictures from Rob's birthday

Here are some pictures from Rob's birthday! We had a suprise party for him that night, but of course I didn't get any pictures! Ava opened up his present for him at breakfast and was quite disapointed it wasn't a toy or something fun! (He got an ipod!)Rob's cake!
No that's not a fire...it's just 30 candles on the cake!

Easter Dress

After we got Ava all dressed this morning, she kept looking in the mirror and saying "cute". Yes Ava you looked adorable!
This picture is blurry, but still cute!

Easter!

Our friends hosted a fun Easter Party on Saturday. We had a yummy lunch and then did an Easter egg hunt after. There were a ton of eggs and candy, and the kids all had a blast. Ava would have to open EVERY egg before it went into her sack to see what was inside. Thanks so much to Shanna and Brent for such a FUN afternoon! (Ava was pretty tired in the video and just wanted someone to open her candy!)

Eating her candy before it even gets to the basket!
Aren't they all SO cute! (L to R Kadrian, Jackson,
Ava and Noel)

Happy Birthday Grandma Moyes!

I want everyone to know that today is my mom's birthday! We wish we could be there to celebrate with you mom! I am fortunate to have my mom as one of my best friends. She is my HERO in every way and I am so lucky to have her as my mom. Even though I am all "grown up" I still cry when I have to leave mom's house and I get homesick for her! She is the best Grandma ever, and Ava just loves her to pieces!

Whose kid is this????

Today for lunch I was feeling guilty after making Ava some Mac' n cheese, so I thought I would put some peas in with it (like I'm sure that helps it out much!). Despite growing up on a farm with fresh peas aplenty, I HATE peas. I guess Ava loves them because she ate an entire bowl of peas and kept asking for more!
and...
on another note...
Last night I did not get ANY sleep. I think I am hitting the stages of pregnancy where I wake up every hour. For some reason Ava was very emotional this morning, crying and having tatrums about EVERYTHING! I was so looking foward to nap time so I could squeeze a nap in myself....and of course today is the day when Ava chooses to not take a nap! Oh well...she did stay in her bed for an hour so I was able to get the laundry done.....

The computer hasn't let me put up any pictures for awhile...and I was finally able to get some up. As a result, there are lots of pictures! Enjoy!

Enjoying the weather!

The weather has been FINALLY warming up, and we couldn't be happier. Ava is truly an outdoor kid! On Sunday we decided to eat dinner outside since it was so nice. Ava was SO excited. She sat at the table saying "mere momma...mere dadda...sit" (come here mom and dad) way before dinner was ready! Who needs a jungle gym when there's Daddy!

Ava waiting for dinner!

lovin the shoes

First of all, thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Moyes for buying these shoes for Ava. Ever since Grandma got them for her 2 weeks ago, they are all she wants to wear! We had her try them on in the store, and when I went to take them off she bent down and grabbed her feet and said NOOOOOOO! The next night she wanted to wear them with her in the tub. Now, when we are out and about she will tell random people "Mama...Dora....shoes" (interpretation...Grandma got me these fabulous dora shoes!) Anyways, on Sunday I put her church shoes on and she got so mad. I couldn't figure out why until I asked her if she wanted to wear her Dora shoes...which she did. Well I have learned to pick your battles so she went to church wearing her Dora clogs and her Sunday dress!

Big Girl Bed!

Since Brooklyn is on her way in 10 weeks, we decided to try moving Ava over to a big girl bed to free up the crib! Ava LOVES her bed. The transistion went so smoothly too! The first couple of nights/naptimes she would call "momma" a few times, but stayed in her bed and fell asleep. We got her a little step stool to get in and out of bed, which she will do all day long. But when she wakes up in the morning or at naptime, she stays in her bed until we come get her! So that means so far no 5:30 wake up calls. Cross our fingers it stays this way! I told her to pretend she was asleep in this picture! If you look closely you can see a huge smile on her face!

The zoo

The Sacramento zoo was lots of fun. I thought Ava would be so excited about all the new animals, but she was more interested in all the free space to RUN! She would stop and look at an animal for 2-3 seconds, say WOW, and take off RUNNING. She seriously ran non stop for 2 hours. Rob and I were so exhausted from running after her! Her favorite animals were the tigers, and she got to pet a snake (which she thought was pretty neat!) Daddy and Ava having a heart to heart! We packed a picnic and Ava decided to eat her lunch in this truck.
Looking cute!

Flying Kites

We had some crazy winds yesterday and decided to take Ava out to fly our dragon kite. It took Rob a few minutes to put it together, and by then Ava had lost all interest in it! So while Rob tried to get the kite to stay in the air, Ava and I went over to the playground to play. Eventually Rob gave up (it wouldn't fly) and joined us! Lately Ava loves to push her bears and dolls around in the stroller. So the last pictures are of her pushing the stroller around the park.
