Watch out world...here she comes!

My baby is growing up! The past couple of days she has started walking on her own, and she loves it!

I got Ava some sun glasses today and she loves them! She wouldn't take them off all night!

The New Do

We all know Ava has lots and lots of hair. She has had a bunch of different hair do's but this one is my masterpiece! It has taken several weeks to get it to look like this...after every bath I get a few snips with the scissors before she freaks out. Then when it dries I have to figure out where to cut next! Anyways, I guess we will always be working with it, poor girl! But doesn't she look SO cute!

Everyone knows that Reno isn't our first choice for a place to live...in fact it's not our 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc...! However, with Lake Tahoe as our "backyard" it makes it worth it! Today we decided to hike down to Emerald Bay. Ava and I had a great time, as the pack mule (a.k.a. daddy) did most of the hard work...hauling around Ava. I just had to carry around a little backpack with some treats and water! Anyways, it's a little over a mile hike down into this bay. We had a great time hiking, and Ava was such a good girl the whole time! We are so excited for the summer when it's warmer so we can actually get in the water, especially Ava. See Grandma and Grandpa Moyes what you are missing?!!

If you look closely at the top picture, you can see Ava's top teeth FINALLY coming in! She look so grown up with them and so so cute!

Ava Loved playing in the sand. She would take handfuls of it and dump it all over herself!

Yesterday I put a sprinkler on the lawn for Ava to play in, but she would rather play in the dirt! That's our girl!

The River

Yesterday we went to the Riverfest which is where a bunch of kayakers compete in different competitions. Anyways the entire time we had to convince Ava that she did not want to go into the river! So at one point Rob put her feet in....once she felt how cold it was she decided maybe she didn't want to play in the water!

Hats

Lately Ava loves wearing Rob's hats around the house. And she insist that you wear one too. So the first picture is of her with a hat and her necklaces (which she wears around her arm instead of her neck!) The second picture is when Rob had just walked in the door from work, and the first thing she wanted to do was for both of them to wear hats!
