The other morning I heard both girls awake, but I was being a lazy mommy and waiting until Brook got fussy before I dragged myself out of bed. I could hear Ava in Brook's room and pretty soon I could hear them both laughing. (Ava usually brings in a stool or chair to stand on the side of Brook's crib.) They played for about 20 more minutes before Brook decided it was time to get out. When I walked in this is what I saw. Somehow Ava had climbed in Brook's crib, took off her wet diaper, and had a fun time with sister! How stinkin cute is that? I can't tell you how much I love these two! This is the purse/diaper bag my mom made for me...I wish I could say I helped but I just yaked my mom's ear off while she sewed and sewed and sewed. I convinced her we didn't need a pattern, not thinking it would be too hard! I was WRONG! It took awhile to figure out the pockets (on the inside), But my mom did an AMAZING job. Now the trick is to get it from Ava, she is convinced it's hers! THANKS MOM!

Over the hill, through the desert, to Grandma and Grandpa's house we go!
I have the best parents in the world. After an exhausting week of hosting Special Olympic athletes from Russia, they came and met us halfway so the girls and I could spend a week with them, which is never relaxing! Ava was SOOOOO excited to go. In fact, the morning of the trip, she was at my bedside at 3:00 a.m. asking if it was time to go to Grandma's house!
We had so much fun and were so spoiled. Grandma spent lots of time sewing fun dress-ups and an incredible purse for me (pictures to come tomorrow.) Ava got to spend a day running errands with grandpa and getting an entire pack of watermelon gum for herself! Brooklyn was NEVER put down, always being held and loved. Rob and I even got a date night while Grandma and Grandpa put the girls to bed. THANK YOU so much mom and dad. Thanks for break and for the good company. We miss you!
These pictures are out of order...but as I was unpacking Ava decided to read books in the suitcase so I put Brook in with her. This is Ava giving Brook a blessing. We've tried explaining the importance of blessings so she doesn't think it's just a funny thing...but you have to admit it's pretty cute!
Grandma made a delicious breakfast of blueberry pancakes, and Brooklyn enjoyed EVERY bite!
Bathtime after the pancakes....I just want to kiss those cheeks.
Ava singing her heart out and playing the piano.
Grandma has such fun dress ups, and a whole drawer devoted to "princess things (crowns, wands, feather boas, purses, etc...) Ava was in Heaven! Grandma spent days sewing Ava few new dress ups (Sleeping Beauty). I will get a picture of Ava in it tomorrow and post it!
