She's here and we're home! We went in Saturday morning at 5:00a.m. Rob and I didn't bring any magazines, books, movies, etc because for some reason we thought this would be fast (I have no idea where we got that idea!) I got started on the pitocin at 6:30, and by noon I was only dilated to about a 4 or so. The Dr. broke my water and I finally got an epidural then as well. (The contractions weren't too bad at that point, but I was ready to just rest without any pain!) The afternoon crept by SLOWLY, and I was dilating very SLOWLY! Rob and I got pretty bored. We decided to have Grandma bring Ava by so we could see her before visiting hours were over, because we figured Brooklyn wouldn't arrive by then. Of course as they were headed over I quickly dilated to a ten, had about 5 good pushes and out she came! My epidural had worn off a bit by then (Rob noticed it had been leaking out of the tube, so my bed was soaked with medicine and none of it was in me! Dangit!) So Ava and grandma got to see her soon afterward...and AVa wasn't too sure about all the wires hooked to mommy and her new sister. We spent the night in the hospital, and Brooklyn slept for 6 hours straight! But after a sleepless night of nurses, beeping, and other babies crying we headed home Sunday afternoon....

She is Here!!!
Brooklyn Elizabeth Parkinson (poor kid why would her parents give her such a long name) is here!!! She arrived at 5:50 PM, Saturday, May 24th. She was 6 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches long. She scared us to death last night and slept for 6 hours straight. We are having her checked this morning to see why she didn't scream all night. (We'll post more pictures later!)

No baby!!
Well today is my due date...and I would love to be posting pictures of our sweet little Brooklyn but I can't..because she is still inside me! Our doctor offered to induce me tonight, but I wasn't ready emotionally and mentally! (Rob still thinks I'm crazy since I have had crying sessions the last couple of nights cause I'm so miserable!!!) Also we are waiting for Grandma Moyes to fly in tomorrow night!! So I'm scheduled to be induced Saturday morning at 5 am! Wish us luck!

Fun pictures
I brought out all the baby stuff so Ava can play with it and explore everything...then maybe by the time Brooklyn gets here Ava will be bored with all of it. (Yes I know...this plan might backfire but it's worth a try) Here is Ava enjoying some apple juice in "Brook's sip"For playgroup we went to the Riverfest downtown. (A kayaking competition) I think us moms were exhausted by the time we left just trying to keep them all out of the water. But we had lots of fun anyways. Here is Kadrian, Ava and Noel. Such cute girls!
Can't get enough of Lake Tahoe
Since Brooklyn hasn't made her arrival yet, we have been enjoying our Saturdays up at the Lake. Ava is such a fish. The water is freezing and she played in it all morning!
Singing her heart out
I have no idea what she was doing in this picture, but it was cute!
This is how she would go up the sand hill

My Sweet family
I seriously have the best husband and daughter. This week has been so emotional for me...I have cried over EVERYTHING! My poor mom...every time our name pops up on the caller ID she is probably wondering what I'm crying about this time! (I have the most wonderful mom ever!)
Anyways the other day I was crying to my mom about whatever. Ava had gone into the bathroom so I followed her to see what she was up too. I noticed the toilet paper had been strung out and she was standing in the hallway holding a huge wad of paper. She said "momma sit". I bent down on my knees and Ava softly wiped the tears from my face and wiped my nose. Then she gave me a huge hug. My day was immediately better! I love this little girl!
Playing at the Lake
We went up to Lake Tahoe today to have a BBQ and enjoy the nice weather. Ava had a blast throwing rocks in the water...and eventually playing in the water. She started out fully clothed and after a few minutes I took off her pants because she had gotten them all wet and it was pretty warm outside. Next thing we know she has her shirt off and finally the diaper! (We know...we have no control over our child!) She was having so much fun, we just let her play until she got cold! Isn't this such a cute picture!
Freedom! (The water was FREEZING but she loved it!)
