Curious Ava

Ava is not walking on her own...yet..., but she has learned how to walk along wall, chairs, bookcases....basically anything stable. As a result, she has discovered new play toys in the cupboards! In the first picture she found our soap, and unwrapped all of them. The last three pictures are of her emptying out the rubbermaid stash! She makes quite the mess, but it's fun to watch her discover new things!

Daddy's little girl

Since we got home from Spokane, Ava only wants her daddy. So this is them reading the newspaper this morning. And the second picture is how I found them this afternoon, both fast asleep on our bed!

Rob had to go on a business trip to Southern California for a week, so Ava and I flew up to Spokane to spend the week with Ryan, Amanda, and Ashy! They were so nice to let us stay with them. We had SO much fun, and by the end of the week Ava and Ashlynn were pretty good friends! We miss them so much already and can't wait to see them again!

Cute baby

Ava loved wearing Ashy's "goggies"

The Bounce house

We went to Ashy's favorite place...she actually calls it the "place". Anyways it's got a bunch of inflatable toys. Can you say ring side girls....hahaha
Amanda taking a cheap shot...
the giant slide...Ava loved it!

Hair cuts

Both Ava and Ashlynn got hair cuts...courtesy of their mommy's. I am proud to say we both did good jobs though! To get them to sit still we had them watch Barney and eat treats!

Swinging at the park

Ava and Ashlynn LOVED the swings! Thank goodness there were two swings at the park so they didn't have to share.

Birthday girl

Our baby turned one yesterday! This past year has flown by, and Ava has grown up so fast. In fact, she took her first 3 steps on her own today! We had a BBQ with our friends and Grandma and Grandpa Parkinson. Ava loved her carebear cake and everyone singing to her!

I made Ava a jumbo cupcake to have all to herself. It took her a few minutes to get into it, but she loved it!

Just like mom

The other night I had a hat on and Ava wanted to wear one as well! She actually wore it for a really long time!

Ava's Easter Dress

I wanted to take some cute pictures of Ava in her easter dress after Church. Instead, she fell asleep on the way home and just wanted to sleep when we got home. Here she is fast asleep on daddy's chest! So next Sunday I'll get some pictures of her in her dress awake! (Thanks to grandma for making the cute jacket to go with it!)

Pretty cheeks

I helped out at a youth conference where they had a carnival and easter egg hunt for the kids in the stake. Ava was to young to participate in the easter egg hunt, but she did get her face painted! (it's supposed to be a heart!)

Happy Easter!

We had an Easter egg hunt in our backyard with some of our friends. Here are the girls warming up to get some eggs!

Finding eggs!

After finding all the eggs, the girls enjoyed their candy. Ava decided she wanted dump out all the eggs and steal Noel and Kadrian's baskets as well!

Monday, April 2, 2007

Amanda and Ryan spent their spring break in Murtaugh, so Ava and I flew down to spend a week and a half with Amanda and Ryan, Grandma and Grandpa, and Liz. We had a great time having an easter egg hunt, shopping, swimming, sewing, and just being lazy! Rob drove up Wednesday night and went snowmobiling with Grandpa Moyes. Then we spent a day in Idaho Falls with Grandma and Grandpa Parkinson where we went swimming! Thanks for such a great time everyone!

Looking out the airplane window

Ava loved looking out the airplane window as we were taking off and landing.

Grandma helping Ava walk. By the way, she is still not crawling and will walk with assistance! We're getting closer to some independent movement!

Helping Grandma

Ava and Ashlynn helping grandma keep her sewing room organized.

Ava's new man

Since Daddy was away for a week, Grandpa helped fill the daddy void!
We went to Shoshone Falls and played around. Thanks to Uncle Ryan for taking these pictures!

Happy early Easter!

Grandma Moyes had an early easter egg hunt. Ava loved the eggs once she realized there was candy inside!

This is how grandma and grandma put their grandchildren to bed...they bounce them on the balls until everyone is so hyper it takes 2 hours to calm down again!

Swimming!

We went swimming at Sligers and Ava, our little fish, loved every minute of it! This picture of Ashlynn is probably on Amanda's site as well, but it's so cute I had to put in on!

Some scary creature we found at the pool. Don't worry I clubbed it to death. (Just in case any one is confused this is Amanda...not me!)

Happy Birthday to all of us!

Since Mine, Amanda, Grandma, Rob, Ava and Ashlynn all have birthdays in March or April we had one giant birthday party. Grandma made special cakes for Ava and Ashy, while the rest of us shared one big cake!
